We had an exciting first day back to school. We spent the morning getting to know our classmates, then went to gym with Mr. S. When we came back from gym we took a star tour of our school. We came across many familiar faces and some new ones too! We learned abour our lunch rules, then read The Crayon Box that Talked by Shane Derolf. We developed classroom rules, and consequences in case we forget to follow our rules. We each had our picture taken with the Cat in the Hat, and and signed up for class jobs. It was quite a busy day, but we are excited to be back at school!
At the end of the day each child shared what they learned...
Destiney - I learned Mrs. Birkhead's name.
Jalen - I learned the rules for outside.
Mrs. Birkhead - I met the Super Seven students in my class
Billy I learned some classroom rules especially no running in the classroom or hallways.
Ayanna - I learned it is important to keep our hands and feet to ourselves.
Ayanna - I learned about our school on the star tour.
Kavon - I learned it is important to be nice to everyone.
Joey - I learned how important it is to try your best.
What a great first day! I can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us!

Good afternoon Mrs. Birkhead's class. I am so glad to read your blog. It is exciting to read about what you learned today. I see that you learned some new rules for school. I know that you will have a great year and I know you will be nice students.
