Halloween

Halloween was a great time!
We started our day with Fairytale Friday. Our Fairytale this week was Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. Mrs. Birkhead gave us clues to guess the story before we listened to an awesome version of the story. We listened to the story to help with our listening skills.

Since it was Halloween we created our own version of a poison apple by making carmel apples in the crockpot. Mrs. Birkhead found the recipe on http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/10/crockpot-caramel-apples.html

We also voted today! Everyone had the opportunity to sit down at a computer and decide who should be our next president. We talked abut the importance of voting. At the end of the day we learned if we had a choice Barack Obama would be our next president. Since I am writing this post so late we now know Obama was elected our next president, so we were right!

Around 1:45 we changed into our Halloween costumes for our parade.
Billy was a ninja, Ayanna Mo was a witch, Ayanna Ma. was a vampire, Joey was a Powerranger, Shelley was Belle, Marissa was Ariel, Kavon was a football player, Destiney was a genie, Jalen was a police officer, and Gary was an Army soldier. Billy's mom, Ms. Tara came in to help us with our party. We had so much fun, and appreciate her help!
